December 4 Menu & Schedule // Going Organic & Milling Flour

Greetings from the Bakery!

We're in the middle of what seems to be the most stressful time of year for a lot of folks. I'm just as guilty as the next person in finding myself sleeping less, worrying more, eating more, and just generally giving in to bad habits during the month of December. When things seem overwhelming, it's always helpful for me schedule time for activities that bring me peace, and this past week it was planting a few perennials in the ground (as well as ripping up some honeysuckle!). Amongst all the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, don't forget to take care of YOU as well!

Fresh-Milled & Organic

During these slower months, I have time to experiment with new products and ingredients. In past years, I've used this time to come up with new loaves. This year, I'm using this time to switch all my flours over to ORGANIC, and with the einkorn, rye, spelt, and heritage wheat flours, I'll also be milling all of those myself. More and more I find myself choosing organic over conventional when it comes to my own food, and I've decided to move my breads over that way as well. And when it come to fresh-milled flour, there really is no comparison in flavor and health benefits to bagged flour.

Wyoming & Montgomery are ON this week!

This week there will be a few options to get your bread fix:

Montgomery Farmers Market: Saturday, 9:30-12:30pm
Local Yokel & Moon Co-Op:

Bread Classes are Filling Up!

Bread Classes are up and running for this winter! I'm so excited to share my love of making bread with everyone. There are still a handful of classes in December (see note about about taking care of yourself - take a bread class for some stress relief!) if you'd like to still sign up. And of course there are classes all throughout January and February on the calendar.

If you want to purchase a Bread Class as a gift for someone, email me directly and we can get that all set up for you!
