The benefits of elderberry on a healthy immune system are well-documented, and every pharmacy carries various elderberry products from lozenges to teas to syrup. I have two beautiful bushes in my garden that have generously provided an abundance of berries this year, and I’ll be making Elderberry Syrup next week to take advantage of the harvest.

My syrup is very simple in ingredients, and will last for months when stored in the fridge. Just 1 to 2 teaspoons a day will give you the full spectrum of benefits; when feeling the sniffles coming on, increase the dosage to 1 to 2 Tablespoons per day.
